Christmas 2024
at Riverland Hills
From printed materials to digital connection points, the Christmas 2024 at Riverland Hills suite was designed with one focus: a small, wooden manger illuminated by a magnificent star, signifying the birth of a foretold Messiah. The sermon series during this season was an apologetic-based series titled "Is Christmas Unbelievable: Unwrapping the Truth of Christmas." As a result, I aimed to paint this Christmas branding in realistic way that eliminated the boisterous side of the season, and chose to focus on the quiet scene of a humble manger and a glorious Savior within it.
The illustrations in this project were digitally hand-painted and adapted for each individual piece. For the four weeks of Advent, families in the church could utilize Advent reading guides and study Scripture together. Small invite cards were available for community outreach. Custom bellybands were designed for small, apologetic-focused books, intended as an additional outreach piece for church members to distribute. Invitational graphics were displayed in local shopping centers, utilizing verbiage that was also being used in radio campaigns during the time.
The pinnacle, however, of the Christmas suite was a designed Christmas card trifold that was mailed to all church members. When opened, congregant members could find a letter from the pastor, a list of upcoming events, small invite cards to give to friends and family, a perforated bookmark, as well as a die-cut keepsake ornament for their family's Christmas tree. Every piece in this Christmas collection was truly a special endeavor to create.
